MIXED MEDIUM #1: Go for the Gold!

Many a PASPal will be putting the pedal to the metal this week on their hopes, dreams and aspirations for the current creative month. The future is in full bloom, and riding the universal wavelength is set to yield exciting results! Vibe on into your creative visions, our prisma-coloured friends...

Love and Relationships:
For some of us, Valentine’s saw a reprise of loneliness, regret, insecurity, faltering self-worth, a sense of self-imposed isolation, and debilitating disorders recognised by the PASTEL Institute of Personal Wellness, like EDDI (Excessive Depressive Dairy Intake). Hope, for the heart and for the waistline, seemed lost.
But listen up, if you’re in the mood to tango as a two, flip out those phones this week and take the plunge! The Wheel of Fortune is spinning out of reality game show television and into your favour, so do some spinning of your own and swipe, swipe, swipe!
While this week is a time to throw caution to the wind and open yourself up to new love and relationships, it is also a time to remain grounded in the values you maintain. Losing sight of who you intend to be on the daily, or manipulating what is important to you to appease somebody else, will see you susceptible to deception. You may be fat with feelings, but be careful to recognise when butterflies are steering you away from trusted intuition.
Money and Wealth:
Gold is the colour of the week, and it’s singing Money, Honey!
The Knave of Wands drips in gold embellishments and stands on amber foundations; the burgundy hopeful faces a golden visitation of riches in the Seven of Cups; the Queen of Pentacles and King of Cups wield their carats like their crowns; and five lustrous figures circle the chancing Wheel of Fortune. Abundance is teased by the spread, this week – open your wallets!
But, don’t bank on those dollars landing in your lap any time soon, though – you’re going to have to work for your wage. Pursue your passions with pride, and remain practical in your decision making. Going for the gold as an active participant in your existence is the one true path to the riches you’re chasing, material or otherwise.
Personal Growth:
Got a little something up your sleeve? A project, an idea, or concept stewing in the juices of fearful apprehension? Now’s the time to whip it out and get started!
An alignment appears in the cards this week, in which risk and reward go hand-in-hand. When success is not totally guaranteed but the stakes are stacked in its favour, the time to pull your dreams through the void into reality is yours to seize and run with. This week marks the beginning of something pure in the spirit of inspiration, if you want it to – just don’t try to do everything at once. Set phasers to stun and hone in on the heart of whatever you’re budding to bring to the fore – start at the start. Success often comes to those who work hard, and to those who follow and trust in a plan. So be brave and get planning!
Artistic Practice:
You’ve got absolutely nothing to lose, so why not share your art with the world this week? Whack something together, whether that be a string of words into short prose, or slaps of wet paint into a humble masterpiece. Get out of your head and into the spirit of fearlessness. The Knave of Wands has his sights set on new ventures with a dash of naivety – follow suit! Who knows, perhaps you’ll receive a pair of snazzy glam boots like his alongside a letter of acceptance. Send your stuff out, apply for new opportunities and overseas experiences, and grow your garden into a hotbed of glittering glamour (not a euphemism).
Colour of the Week: All that glitters is Gold!
All eyes are on you in gold, this week! Gold is the colour of luxury and represents the guarantee of reward for hard work. Hit the gas for the glam – the pieces you wear will soon be yours to own, should you prove your mettle.
